XYZ Calibration error --Help--
Hi,

I bought the Prusa i3 MK3S kit and have a problem with the calibration. I get the error: "XYZ calibration failed." Bed calibration point was not found. "

The self-test went through without error and I checked the following:

- Distance Nozzle and PINDA sensor that fits everything.
- Allow the axles to move freely.

I came across a guide from Prusa:

https://help.prusa3d.com/article/fja7hbb22y-xyz-calibration-error-messages-mk-3

And then I noticed that the PINDA sensor is not in the middle of the first calibration point (picture)!
The belt also shifts to the left as the platform is moved (picture).

What can this be? How can I fix this?

I am very grateful for any help.

Best regards
Sascha

RE: XYZ Calibration error --Help--

I don't know if this is how you are supposed to do it, but I had a similar problem a while back: When I did the XYZ calibration from the menu, it never worked, but then I would start a print and it would be fine. I would suggest at least trying a small print and just live adjusting the Z. Again, not sure if that's how it is supposed to go, but I fixed my problem that way and the printer works fine.  Best of luck to you!

RE: XYZ Calibration error --Help--

The PINDA looks a little low - but that's probably not the issue. A common problem is when homing, the extruder doesn't hit the stops properly due to things like cable ties on the extruder wire harness, user installed fan shrouds on the hot end fan, too much friction on the bearings (U-bolts too tight, extruder case screws nar the bearings too tight).

XYZ cal is needed since that is when the steps per mm is determined: and if not completed the X and Y scales can be way off, and printing a 25 mm cube may result in a cude 23.5x26.7x24.9 cube (instead of 25x25x25).
