X axis sticking
Having an issue where my X axis sticks in one specific location. I thought it was the bearings or rod (rod does have some damage and it has been running for a year and a half almost 24 hours a day) but when I pulled the x axis motor off it now slides freely.
suggestions on what it could be or what my next test should be?

X axis also stuck in a specific spot, I pulled the cable out just to make sure it wasnt some weird electrical gremlin and it still had the issue so I suppose it's shot. Will throw on the one from my just arrived 3rd printer and see if it fixes it.
side note: does anyone know why the prusa stepper motors are hard wired? this swap would have been simpler if I could just unscrew the stepper, unplug it and plug the new one in. Instead I have to redo the wiring wrap, half undo the electronics enclosure, ect.
