X-axis stalling

I received my MK3S kit and assembled according to instruction. Initial XYZ calibrations had .04 - .06 and 11.99, 12.01 for alignment. I printed half of the files for the PRUSA Lack Enclosure V2 (1-5 and 11) without any problems or layer shifting. About 10 hours into print 6 I had multiple crash detects. After that it appears that the x-axis is stalling during print or calibration. I done a factory reset, all data. The loaded firmware is 3.8.1. I have also tried 3.8.0 with the same result. All the initial tests are OK (fans, bed, hotend, x,y,z axis). I have rechecked that there are no loose cable connections to the Einsy board. If I use 'settings move x axis', it doesn't skip and moves the correct distances. Belt status is x256, y294. I do not feel any tight spots on the x or y axis. Currently can not pass XZY calibration since the X axis stalls when moving to the next calibration point but not consistently at the same x position. I will try lubricating the x axis as that seems to be what others have done. Looking for guidance for further debugging.

RE: X-axis stalling

X axis lubrication felt dried/sticky on the x-axis upper rod.  Cleaned both rods and reapplied lubricant. Belt status on x went from 256 to 294.  Calibration passes with similar results as original.  It appears that the bearings in the kit are not initially lubricated properly even though the assembly instructions says they are.

Tis a problem!

recommendations to lube bearings during build are often rebuffed with... 'the manual says no need'
