X axis origin reset

Hi, I've had my prusa for quite a while now avoided doing any updates because I lost my wire but long story short I finally installed the latest firmware and ran the calibration and it set my x axis zero to the center. How do I reset the zero back to the far end? Also can someone direct me to how the bed leveling is supposed to work now? I don't quite understand what the z wizard was doing because it ripped the paper over the heat bed and I had to stop it.

RE: X axis origin reset

Please downgrade the firmware to the previous version and make the calibration. If that succeeds, then the printer is mechanically ok. Only then try the new firmware again.

Please check the height difference between nozzle and pinda with a cable tie as described in the assembly manual. If the xyz-calibration still grabs the paper, lower the PINDA a few 10-ths of a mm. It still has to stay above the nozzle. Later, when you dial in the first layer height, you will have to descend a z-live values a little more but that's all.

If that is not enough, please check whether your x-axis is parallel to the bed when moving the nozzle close to the bed left and right by hand. The x-axis is aligned by bumping the z-axis into its upper ends. I added an M5 thread to each upper z-end so that I can minimally adjust only the higher side.

If even that is not enough, please check whether the bed is parallel to the frame horizontal (see prusa manual y-axis-assembly).

As for the x-axis: Please check smooth movement, the grub screws of the pulley, the idler bearing, and the belt-tension.

Once your machine is up and running again, you can print jigs that help with calibration like: lehre-fur-pindaspinda, belt-tension-gauge
