Wrong X-axis home or bed position?

Hi, I have a strange issue with with my MK3s+ printer. It appears that the X-axis home is about +1mm off, causing 250mm wide prints to be about ~249 and fail. I have tried the xyz recalibration wizard but it has not helped. Ive also checked for any obvious obstructions around the extruder housing but found nothing. Here are some pictures with text that help illustrate the issue.

When x axis is moved all the way to the left

When x axis is moved all the way to the right

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Been stuck on this one for a few days and not sure what could be causing the issue.

When you manually move it to the left there should not be any springy resistance, it should be a solid stop against that housing.  Check your cable tie clearance on the cable bundle at the rear.  Fitting them even slightly different from the manual can cause issues.  Basically check whats causing that resistance and sort it.

You're saying you're having a problem with the X-Axis traveling 250mm?

The build volume on an I3Mk3+ is 210mmx210mmx250mm.  The maximum expected travel on your X-Axis is 210mm, to try to go to 250 is 20% past it's design limits.  Now Prusa does give you a slightly large build plate so that you can purge your print head and build a fence around the print, but it seems sketchy that'll give you another 40mm beyond design.  Are you really sure you're going after 250mm on the X-Axis?

Cheers

Bob, with all respect but maybe you should check your facts before posting.  The build volume on a mk3 is X=250, Y=210 and Z=210.  So the OP is quite correct.

Thanks for the replies, it turned out that there was a loose zip tie on the cable bundle at the back of the e-axis. There was also a loose bolt allowing for some play. Now i can print the full 250mm without any issues :).
