Worn out parts. Searching for durable replacements

Dear Forum Members,

I own a 3D printing company and i am very happy with my Prusa MK3S+. I have one small problem with 2 specific parts. the filament sensor cover and the adapter-printer-mmu2s part. I only print bronzefill filament and i printed almost 400 hours of this abrasive material. These parts are completly sanded down because the arbrasive material. the guideing hole in both parts are destroyed and is leading to failed prints and filament snaps. Do you guys have a good material suggestion for this problem? And one other question; The bronzefill filament spools are 1,5 KG is there a way to get a Prusa made spool holder with bearing in it. Because the spools are too heavy for the machine to rotate.

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

There are all kinds of spool holders in the associated Printables site, but unfortunately the search function is not the best, so you may have to try multiple related terms for some good hits.

They are almost trivial to draft and print if you can't find what you want.

As far as more abrasive-resistant pieces that contact the filament (IIRC the stock ones are PETg which is relatively soft), I would first try reprinting them in a stiffer material, maybe PC Blend or some kind of a carbon fiber filament.  If something like that does not work, you might try remixing the originals to hold short lengths of 2mm id. stainless tubing or even the PTFE tubing.

Hi,

During the last live show #50 Prusa explained that search has been improved... now it is searching also if you make a typo

I typed "Spool support" and I get 9.574 entries

Ordering by "Download", this seems very nice to me:

Yes, that does look like a very nice one.

I just downloaded it and it may work on my one shelf a bit better than the stock MMU2S spool holders, which are quite flimsy.

I'm very partial to roller style spool holders. They're smooth, and it couldn't be any easier putting spools on and taking them off .  More recently I swapped all my "TUSH" style rollers over to (a remixed, smaller version of) this one https://www.printables.com/model/1804

Has no mechanical parts you need to adjust for different spool diameters or widths, it just works.  The larger version is designed for 2 to 3 kg spools.
