What is the lowest Z-level possible for the initial layer?
It seems to default to 0.2.
Is it possible to override the z-level to say set it at 0.1 or 0.05 in the G-code?

Maybe I'm missing something in your question but can't you just set the first layer to 0.1 (or whatever) in Print Settings→Layers and Perimeters?

I want to set thisthe G-code for a stepped Z-layer test I am creating.
So for example if you have:
- Z-level adjust = -1000
- First layer set at 0.2 default
- Manually set Z=0.15
Then effectively it would be like -1500 with a 0.2 default first layer
Idea is that I could ramp through a set of say Z=.1, Z.15, Z=.2, Z=.25, Z=.3 which would be equivalent to printing a 0.2 first level with Z-layer adjust equal to -1100, -1050, -1000, -950, -900
