What build plate do I have? And which one do I need? Factory 2nd any good?
Hi all.
I have a second hand MK3 upgraded to 3s+ It came with the original smooth build plate, which has a couple of dents in it.
I've calibrated the living daylights out of it, did the locknut mod and all that.
The first layer prints are fantastic and consistent... except on one spot.. where the dent's at.. The dip is too big to correct.
So I want to buy a new smooth plate. I mainly print PLA on this plate. I also have a textured one.
I think I need this one: PEi plate
At the top of the plate, it says "IT 22"
On another page where the smooth PEI plate is described, the text on the plate says "TF 21"
My plate says PA-21. Does anybody know the meaning of these letters/numbers? They're all the same smooth PEI plate?
And has anyone ever bought a factory 2nd plate? Any good?
Thanks!

I believe the corner numbers are lot numbers
I have never bought a factory second sheet. I Suspect they would be cosmetically flawed but otherwise good.

There are several slightly different versions of the overprinting. All Mk3 nd Mk4 plates have the same dimensions and can be used on either machine.
I have one factory second sheet - it works well.
Cheerio,
