Weird X Axis issues

I hadn't printed in a while...a couple months...I turned on today and run thru calibration for good measure.  No issues.  Ran First layer calibration and while checking the 9 points it would get to point 4....start moving to 5 and act it hit a wall.  I checked and X access thought it was at +0.0.

Turned off the printer and moved the head back to the left and re-ran the calibration and everything passed.  Did a 30 minute or so print and everything worked great.  Started a second print and got a notification for a Crash after about 20 minutes.  Checked and the same thing had happened.  X access was on the right side and thought it was at +0.0.  Turned off and barely pushed to the left and moved freely.  I have watched it do this a couple times now and I don't see anything binding at all.  I cleaned everything before starting and nothing seems to be binding.

Belt tension was checked and was 264 which looks to be in the right range.  When turned off the head moves freely.  I have about 30 hours of issue free prints on this printer.

Well something is making X think it hit an end stop.

Turn the printer off and move X to the end both directions. Feel for any binding. Try loosening the bearing mounts in the extruder a bit.

Look for cables or cable ties catching.

Well you were correct.  It was something...just not what I was thinking.  I guess since it has sat for a while there was some dust buildup on the steel dowel that the X axis rides on.  That dust was gumming up the bearings.  I cleaned it all up and applied a light amount of grease and everything seems to be going great now.

Thanks for the assistance.
