Weird noise
Hi,
I've just started printing yesterday as I got my printer a few days ago. And I might add that I'm new in the 3D printing.
Althouth my printer came in a kit I believe in build it properly.
The first print went fine but the last one that I did there was a really weird noise when printing.
Does anybody has any idea what it could be ?
Also, The X axis belt has a friction with the frame of the printer which makes it slowly getting ripped off . Here is picture and a video of the trouble.
Re: Weird noise
Here is another video I took to let know of the sound.
The 1st print I did was much more silent
Re: Weird noise
It is always good to read the manual.
Prusa has done an assembly manual so that it is impossible to make any mistake's 😆 😆 😆

Re: Weird noise
I happened to do the exact same thing but noticed the belt was so fn far out to the side i checked the manual right away....yep backwards lol
Re: Weird noise
Thanks for your answers,
But yes, I did check the manual and I checked what I could do, the round part for the belt is already stuck to the motor so I can't put it more forward.
Re: Weird noise
OK Sebastien, I thought both me and the manual were clear.
You have mounted the pulley back and forth. It should be rotated 180 degrees with the screw part away from the motor.

RE: Weird noise
I have this same issue. Pulleys are mounted correctly and have clearance from the motors. Did you ever get this fixed?

RE: Weird noise
Can you post a detail of the belt rubbing against the frame?
RE: Weird noise
Turned out this was just stepper motor sounds. When I switch the printer to quite mode, it goes away.
