useless support towers and free floating support interfaces using built-in profile

I am printing some things on the default 0.15mm QUALITY profile with supports everywhere and brim. I am using PrusaSlicer-2.2.0. When I look at the print preview there are support towers that are just free standing and support nothing, support material interfaces that are being printed in mid air and some on the very top of the pieces. These stray lines probably won't cause a print failure but definitely add some artifacts or frayed pieces. What do I need to change to remove these problems?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

Unfortunately the photos come up blank on my machine and I don't see an attachment.  You will have to zip your .stl or project files in order for the attachments to work here.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I am no longer able to edit my post, so I've messaged a mod asking them to edit it for me.

Files are attached below.

Hi Berni,
I think I have edited the files as per your request

have you tried something like this?

RearSight

What gun is the sight for?

have you had to change the original geometry?

I have just made some shims for my shotgun! the stock was too low...

I get those free-standing supports too, but a simple support blocker got rid of it.  I have no clue why the slicer generated that.

I changed  parameters to make prints as strong as possible, and one or more of those settings got rid of the useless towers and free floating interfaces. I don't know which one.

I have not considered printing it diagonal. I am not sure of the best orientation to avoid snapping delicate parts, but I'm going to print it in polycarbonate so that will hopefully be strong enough not to snap on use.

The sights are for a hi-capa, which is an airsoft gun based on the 2011 pistol family. I am printing it for a fellow airsofter I play with.
