Updated firmware to 3.11 and printer now fail self test on Y axis.
I updated the firmware to 3.11 and not my printer won't print. It crashes and the bed moves about 4cm and stops. I tried to downgrade the firmware but the printer is still crashing. I reset to factory defaults and now the calibration stops at Y axis.
Any ideas?

Make sure software is for your model

Firmware is for the model.

What does the error message say exactly? Check free movement of the bed from front to end, does it collide with something (zip-ties, enclosure, cables?)? Check the grub crews on the y-motor, if they are loose (or not fixed against the flat part of the shaft) they can cause y-axis-failure...
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Selftest error!
Please check:
Axis length
Axis Y
The bed moves freely. Screws on the y-motor are tight.

I normally get that when the cable bundle hits einsy case it should just miss it check when it does it that it goes all the way to end

I have the exact same issue. Updated the firmware and everything was working fine for one small print. The second print failed with a Crash for no reason. I tried to recallibrate and now I'm stuck at the same selftest error.
RE:
And the zip ties? (My Y axis failure was the zip ties were hitting the power supply case stopping full travel. I pointed them up !)
I had a Z-failure after a flash/MMU2S upgrade.
Cause?
Turned out I had forgotten to put the Steel print bed back in place. Ooops.

Thank you for your suggestion. I just disassembled the Heatbed and put everything back in place. There are no obstacles and the bed moves freely (one direction is a bit easier than the other). I'll try to add some lube to the bearrings, but I don't think that this will help..
