Uknown problem with printing, possibly filament loading failure, z-axis, extruder raises itself

Guys, I have a strange problem. I had a problem with filament load, but figured it out. Filament loads now. But when I do that, and start a print - printer makes the 9 point calibration, and when about to start print, raises extruder and shows info about is the filament inserted correctly.

What should I do about it?

 Have you tried/checked the IR sensor calibration? Section 7.1 in the MMU2s manual.  Or maybe some filament bits in the IR sensor area left from your previous problem?

1) Turn off filament sensor in settings so you can print.

2) Fix the sensor. I fixed mine just by removing it and reseating it.

@robert-rmm200

I turned it off, and now it's working. Could you please write again how to remove and reset it?

Assembly manual chapter 5, step 42. Remove the screw.

Back up to step 21. Remove that screw.

Now the sensor board just lifts out.

With a bit of filament, make sure the ball moves correctly and the magnets are doing what they are supposed to.

Good luck!

I have other problem, please help. And thank you for you help that you have already gave me, but now, I tried to unload the filament, and it just got stuck.

I can't load or unload it. I don't know what to do

Look through some of the recent posts.  There are some good descriptions on how to handle it.

I am reluctant to advise, because if it goes badly you will be disassembling your extruder.

But basics:

Loosen the idler screw so the Bondtech is not engaged.

Heat the hot end to 280. Give it maybe five minutes to soften in the hot end restriction.

Pull the filament fairly hard. Try not to break it...

Good luck...

@robert-rmm200

it's often a good idea to do as suggested above, but try pushing the filament in, before trying to pull it out...

I like that! Thanks Joan. Feeding more filament in from the top has far less chance of breaking it.

Success will be a lot of filament coming out of nozzle. Personal tip sheet modified.
