Transporting a i3 mk3s kit

Any tips on how to transport an mk3s and what are some good packing material to use?

Best Answer by JoanTabb:

I took mine out this week, in the rear passenger seat, with the seatbelt around it!

when I arrived at my destination, printed without re calibration.

If you are doing the transporting just stick it in the cargo space. Calibrate at destination.

If you are packing for shipment: Zip ties around anything that moves. Bubble wrap. Big box. "This side up". "Fragile".

Calibrate at destination.

Really the MK3S family is pretty durable. I would not expect anything to bend / break. Just realize calibration is always necessary.

There's a guide for returning a printer that should be useful to ship it anywhere. The big thing I'd be worried about is the LCD panel snapping off or getting damaged, so I'd detach it from the frame and wrap it in packaging separately.
