"TMC Driver Overtemp" nonstop.

I got Mk3s assembled yesterday, I set it up. Everything was fine, I did a test print of Prusa logo and came out fine.

I tried printing the triceratops that comes on the SD and on the end filament wouldn't extrude anymore, I tried unloading but to no luck. I tried cleaning the nozzle with the needle and it got in all the way and nothing felt like it was stuck in there.

Then I got the TMC Driver Overtemp first time. It didn't go away until a good 30 min or so later, I tried unloading and nothing seemed stuck. I tried loading but it wouldn't load the filament in. Then I gave up for that and today I gave it a go again and tried with the needle again and unloading, got the TMC driver error again and now it's been there for several hours and it doesn't seem to go away.

This is my first printer so I'm not too knowledgeable with all the parts but looking at this link I got the feeling it's a clogged hotend. But since I have the TMC driver error nonstop I can't do anything with the printer.

Really hoping someone can help me out, was so excited to get into 3d printing so a bit disappointed it's not going that well 😀 and I hope nothing got messed up, I can say I never heard anything bad or smelled anything that seemed burning. So afaik nothing seems broken?

Can you open the filament clamp completely and see if the motor will turn when trying a filament unload, at least this way you will know if it is a hotend issue or an extruder motor issue.

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

I can't do anything :/ Cause it just says "TMC driver overtemp". I had the printer off for about 6 hours and still says that.

I turned it on today and now the error is gone, so I'll try what you said. But can hotend clog cause overtemp on tmc?

I'm still getting the error most of the time but nope the motor doesn't seem to be turning. I opened up the lid and nothing seems stuck there either. When i turn on the printer and try to do anything, selfchecks, unload, change temp etc it pretty much instantly gives tmc overtemp warning.

Sounds like your motor may be shorted, or the driver itself is. Use live chat in the store and support will get you set up with a replacement einsy or motor after they help you find out which is at fault.

Uhm so I noticed the other day that the leftside fan connectors seemed a bit loose, so I unplugged and made sure to plug it in firmly. Then today I turned on the printer and to my surprise its been running through calibration and heating for 15 min without an error, while every other time it gets error within a minute.

Could the leftside fan give me the driver overtemp error? Sorry if it's a dumb question :p

Actually nothing happens when I try to load the filament, and nothing extrudes either. is the motor busted?
