TMC Driver overheat
Hi together!
Sorry for my English, I'll try my best to discribe my problem in an understandable english 😀
I changed my nozzle on my MK3S. After this I did an upgrade to the firmware 3.7.0 and resetted the hole printer for a new configuration.
The printer reboots and begins with its self-testing: Fans ok, X and Y axxis ok - when the setup reaches the test of the Z-axxis, it moves down to the heatbed and stops with the message "TMC driver overheat".
By testing the drivers for the Z-axxis, there isn't any driver HOT 😉
So I can't do anything more. I already tried to downgrade the firmware - no effort. I checked all my cables if one is broken - all ok. So how can I delete the flag of the driver that it is too hot? In the manuals there is an information, that it works again, when the driver is cold. But after 10 hours it is the same problem as discribed.
Could anyone give me a hint to solve this problem?

I have a look on the startup procedure and I see, that the MMU is not responding - not normal at all, isn't it?

Is this information for one of you enough? Is the Einsyboard broaken or what happend?

I first suspected firmware 3.70 heatbed PWM system creating more heat on the EINSY board. There are similar reports as yours earlier in the forum. I have not verified but am afraid to go up to polycarb temperatures. However you rolled the firmware back and still have the issue.
Given that tidbit, I suspect a shorted motor cable.

Thank you for your tips!
I now tried to downgrade the firmware but the result was the same. Second, I checked all my cables but they seemed to be good. Third I unplugged the Z-axxis and tried to run the selftest - and of course while testing the Z-axxis I didn't get the TMC overheat message. I only get the message that there is a problem with the Z-axxis - because the motors are unplugged!
So far so good. Am I right that there could be a problem with the Z-axxis motors!? Perhaps there is really a shorted cable!?

Next expirience:
1) I lifted up the levelling sensor a little bit. While testing the Z-axxis, the extruder goes down and hits the heatbed and won't stop goning down further
2) In the next test I unplugged the levelling sensor and run the test again. As the test arrives the Z-axxis test it stops with "TMC driver overheat". The Z-axxis went (as normal) just a little bit up and didn't try to move down. 😯
Just another question: the red light in the levelling sensor - is it always on and just when it hits the bed it goes off or should it be the other way? Always off and before bed hitting it lights up!?
