TM: initial C test error (i3MK3S+ with Revo 6)

Hi, when I updated the firmware few months ago, there was an error. I read that it was due to compatibility issue with the Revo 6. Recently, I read that it has been fixed so I downloaded the latest firmware 3.13.2 from Prusa website and went through the entire calibration. It was fine until almost at the end, there was some kind of new thermal C est on the LCD screen. The nozzle moved to the center and then beeped with an error of Print abroad.

According to the below article, under Limitations, those who use a Revo should use specific firmware found in their GitHub page.

Thermal model calibration | Prusa Knowledge Base (prusa3d.com)

Is e3d_REVO_fw_MK3_MK3S_MK3S+_3_13_1_6876.zip the one to use? I tried but it also gave me a a TM: initial C est followed by a beep and print abroad.

That is correct -- the zip file will include multiple firmware files. Make sure to choose the correct model (MK3 vs MK3S) and heater core wattage (40w vs 60w).

If you haven't already, you need to do a factory reset and delete ALL DATA. This will clear the EPROM values from the stock model to allow the new calibration to start without erroring out.

To reset:

  • Press and hold selector knob
  • Press the reset button
  • Wait for a loud beep and release the selector knob
  • Scroll all the way down to "ALL DATA", and select it
