Threaded Rod and Accidently Lubed

Hello Everyone,

I've been spending a lot of time troubleshooting a recent z-wobble or ugly layer lines issue.  I've worked with support after exhausting the troubleshooting articles.  It just hit me that when I did maintenance on my pre-built MKS3+.  I made a poor decision and wiped lube up and down the threaded rods on the left and right.  I believe this is wrong, but could it be the reason for the recent print quality issues?

If I am to remove it, just carefully work in 99% Iso-alcohol?

Appreciate any input on the matter!

Just one light wipe shouldn't cause too many issues - don't do it again.

If you've applied enough to see the film then a toothbrush dipped in WD40 will shift most of it.  Blot off with good quality paper towel.

Cheerio,

Be careful when using WD-40 on your printer, do not let it get in touch with the PEI sheets or the print bed...

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
