Think the new firmware fried my board 🙁

Getting this error on boot, and now the SD card is unreadable.  I've tried others, reformatting and testing them in my laptop.  The SD cards are fine.

"External SPI flash W25X20CL not responding. Language switch unavailable"

This happened exactly one print after flashing the new firmware 3.8.0.  I've tried unplugging MMU or with it plugged in...still not working.  Printer was purchased in February of this year, einsy 1.1b, mk3s.

Go to the Eshop and click the Chat button.

The support team is really very good at stepping through issues like this.

Didn’t see that option the first time, support option was to come here or to read their knowledge base.

Tried the chat this morning and after about 20 minutes of waiting I had to leave.  Hopefully they see my email that I sent using the form on their homepage.

From my research, it sounds like the fix is a new einsy board unfortunately.  If prints are needed immediately, you can still print via USB or octoprint.

Sounds similar to flashing MMU firmware into a non-MMU printer; or vice-versa.

Hmm I thought the printer and the mmu were independent fws?

I did update the printer, then the mmu.  It worked for one print then the next time I turned on the printer I started getting that error.

ill try a factory reset maybe...

Hello I have the exact same problem! And whenever I try the selftest it always fails on the Y axis. Have you put in a new einsy board and did it work?
