Thermistor still not working

I recently replaced my thermistor as the printer (mk3s) stated from the self test that the thermistor/heater was not connected. However, after replacing the thermistor, the self test still put out the same result.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here, is it something to do with the board itself?

RE: Thermistor still not working

are you getting a temperature display on the LCD, for the suspect thermistor?
At rest, it should show room temperature, same as the other thermistor. if your display is showing a very low temperature, the thermistor may not be properly plugged in to the einsy board, or it may be plugged into the wrong socket.
If you have a multimeter, you could test the resistance of the thermistor, whilst it is disconnected. atm25 degrees centigrade the thermistor should trad 100K ohms if the temperature is lower the resistance will be higher, and vice versa  if you warm the thermistor whilst testing the resistance, the resistance should reduce.

The temperature display on the LCD shows room temperature, I will check the thermistor with a multimeter tomorrow. If it is correct, is there any advice on what I should do? Thanks!

My first thermister failed almost immediately.  Tt was crushed when the head was assembled at the factory.  The set screw only needs to be "snug" or lightly tightened.   Too tight and the thermister is ruined.
