Thermal errors and screen issues after firmware update

I have a Mk3S+ with an MMU2S which I have been printing with for about a year with basically zero problems other than some mmu feeding issues.  I upgrdaded to the latest firmware last week and it automatically started throwing thermal errors.  I have reinstalled a few times and tried to do some calibrating, but I am getting odd error codes.  My last one was doing a z calibration and part way back down, the screen went blank and a small thermostat showed up in the bottom right and everything froze.  Should I be getting thermal errors for this kind of calibration?  wouldn't think so.  Sometimes when I do the belt test, it will stop partway through the x test as well.  I am pretty new to prusa, so thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

I have a similar issue: Stock printer, couple of months old, factory assembled, only additional feature is a Prusa Enclosure. I have tried to install 3.12.1 and 3.12.2 over 3.11 multiple times, without any luck: The upgrade process fails with errors during thermal calibration and / or with screen problems (garbage characters etc.).  Every single time, I had to flash back to 3.11 (which is running flawlessly).

I have been in a lengthy email exchange with Prusa support (measuring resistance of thermistors, hot end heater, temperatures etc.), all to absolutely no avail, but eating hours of my time. I have submitted an error dump (with no feedback if it contained anything useful or not). I was given the impression that I am running into a very unusual issue - not sure this is accurate looking at the posts here. I was offered to send the printer in for fixing, which I am reluctant to do at the moment due to the hassle involved and as 3.11 is running fine.

I am not happy at all.

RE:

It seems that I'm the only one running without issues firmware 3.12.2 on a non stock Prusa ?.  After skipping versions 3.11.x, because they seemed to offer no real improvement over 3.10.0,  I decided at last to install firmware 3.12.2.

As I said, my printer isn’t a stock MK3S, it has a Mosquito hotend, so I was prepared to get all sort of error messages. Instead, everything went fine and the thermal calibration process finished without incidences. I’ve been printing with the new firmware for several weeks and no problems of any kind.

Although I don’t feel that this new thermal model, or whatever it’s called, does much for improving the performance/reliability of the printer, at least in my case it didn’t meant trouble.
