Temperatur Problem

Hi,

i have a strange problem. Sometimes the temperature of the nozzle drops below the correct value. Then stays there for some time and recovers.
Does anyone has the same issue? I made screenshot of octoprint. This happens to a lot of prints. I use Simplify3D as a slicer and I have the latest firmware.

Thanks

Re: Temperatur Problem

That plot looks like programmatic temperature effects, not a hardware problem.

Not sure why the nozzle is being turned off for minutes at a time... maybe some cooling you set up for the part you are building.

Anyhows, you may want to look at the gcode and search for all of the nozzle temp commands being sent to the printer. M104 and M109 ... If you see any that have that lower temp step, like M109 S230 T0, the issue is not hardware.

Re: Temperatur Problem

I got this error when I had mounted new plastic parts on the extruder.
The fault was caused by clamping the thermistor cable when I screwed the extruder.

After I had repaired the cable, everything worked again.
The temperature drop occurs when the extruder moves and there will be a break in the cable.

Re: Temperatur Problem

I would try a pid tune with running fans.

And use a e3d sock if you don’t already.

Looks like temperature drops on nozzle after print fan kicks in.
