Pallette 2sPro PrusaSlicer Profile?

I love my Prusa but I also love my Pallette 2sPro.    Can Prusa in there ultimate wisdom make a printer profile for this as well.   I know that there is P2pp around but at least I have not have not had luck implementing it.  This would be VERY GOOD.  I have had a MMU2s but for me the Pallete is better.   Like different cars most are good but different.

I have had good luck with P2PP. There's also Chroma for output from other slicers. If you need help with P2PP, I suggest you join its Facebook group.

I think the problem is that it’s not just a profile that’s needed to support the Pallete, but actual post-processing code. I think it’s a bit much to ask Prusa to create and maintain code for a third party device (especially one that competes with their own MMU).  This would be something that would be better handled by Mosaic. In view of the fact that Mosaic has in fact created such a code in Chroma and there’s also a freeware version for Slicer (P2PP), I don’t see Prusa getting into this business.

On a separate note, I’m considering getting a Palette in the near future, so would love to hear about your experience with it working with your Prusa.

I love the Palette 2 - works wonderfully with the MK3S. It has been trouble-free for me, and there's a P2PP add-on for PrusaSlicer that adds many useful options. Mosaic now has the ability to "paint" colors on single STLs in their CANVAS online slicer. I have had the Palette 2 for a year now.

To make a suggestion for a new feature you need to head over the PrusaSlicer section on Prusa's GitHub ( https://github.com/prusa3d ) and post under "issues" in the PrusaSlicer section...

Prusa staff don't read these forums very often, they are user to user help forums here.

Could I assume the Palette 3 would also work with the Prusa Slic3r? Sounds like a great way to go!

Hi @djwhouse, yes it does. In general, Palette 3 (Pro) is compatible with printers that accept non-proprietary filament 1.75 mm in diameter, have open access to filament feed, and can recognize files sliced in Canvas or Slic3r/PrusaSlicer. If you are using the P2PP plugin - Palette 3 Pro can only be used with these two slicers. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you have any other questions.
