Sudden bed calibration point detection problem

I've been using my mk3 for a while now ~4 days of print time. However, for no apparent reason my last print failed because it could detect the bed calibration points. I've tried running the xyk calibration procedure but it always fails at the second (2 of 4) point (calibration point not detected). I've tried lowering the sensor but it didn't help.

Any ideas?

Does your pinda respond to metal to the right of the bed?

There is an option to test end stops in the Lcd menu. On the mk3 its only useful for yrsting the z axis

Hi,

Yes the sensor seems to work fine. However, I've now determine that the issue seems to come from the cable.
I'm getting a end stop detection while far from the bed.

However, I don't understand how to fix it. What is exactly the problem?

raise the extruder 50mm and then turn down the lights so you can see the red led at the top of the pinda.
move the extruder from the left to the right and see if the led stays on at all times or if it turns off at any point.
if it turns off there is a break in the pinda wire or it is being pinched.
