Strange noise while x-movement

Hello I´ve been printin with my Prusa mk3s for some months now. In the last weeks i started to recognize some strange noise from the Extruder Block but I dont know exactelly where its comming from.

I allready checked the most of the screws, because i thought it sounds like a loose screw.

Do you maybe have an idea where this sound could come from?
It doesnt affect the print qualitiy but its still annoying and the printer probably shouldnt sound like this.

I made a video, that you can hear what this Strange Sound sounds like.

Thank you in advance

Check to see if loosening the fan screws does anything to the noise.

It can also be a noise of the fan wheel bearing, when the fan bearing reaches end of life.

Sadly it didn‘t change the sound

I can’t hear anything while only the fans are active only when it’s moving

Probably something vibrating

@clemens-m

Do you think a fan reaches his end of life after half a year of printing?
best regards

It could.  I have replaced 4-6 fans in 2 years on 4 printers.

Can be - I had fans generating strange sounds after 1,5 years of heavy use and other fans that had bearing problems after about 3 months. And it was always the part cooling fan. I think the original Prusa fans for part cooling is not the leading edge quality.

I always have 3 to 4 part cooling fans at home. Sometimes it helps to remove the sticker on the back side of the fan and to put a drop of thin oil on the shaft and replace the sticker.

Best regards, Clemens

I have also used a drop of non-conductive glue to protect the solder and wires.

@cwbullet

I´ve tested both fans seperatly and also stopped them mid print but the sound stayed the same. I recognized, that a Z movement is creating similar sounds wich leads me back to my theorie of a vibrating part.

Today I tried something different

I held the fan like this during print and the sound got a lot quieter. Im going to replace this fan. Thank you both for you fast and good help.
