Strange Mark 'growing' in my display
I have a strange mark on the top right of my display which is growing.. At first I thought it was dead pixels, but its doesn't follow the pixels at all and is totally "analogue".
In December it looked like this:
And today:
I clearly can't stop it... And its going to get worse.. So I guess I need to think about swapping out the display board.
What is the cheapest way to do this? I guess I can't just change teh screen, so has anyone got a link to the whole board? I am pretty sure that Prusa use a generic board, so is that a better option than buying from Prusa?
That said, if anyone has any suggestions on what this is and how to stop it, I am all ears.. Its odd, I literally have 100s of LCD screens in my life and have never seen anything like this before.. It almost looks "organic".

RE: Strange Mark 'growing' in my display
Hi there
I had the same issue when my cousins came over and messed with my printer I had to replace the lCD and I am now back to printing.
However if you have had the printer for a while you might know exactly how much to turn the knob and know where to push to select the file to print.

Cheers. Its not that bad... YET, but its clearly going in the wrong direction and at the rate the mark is growing, its going to be across the screen in a few months...
Did you swap out yours for a "Prusa" part? Or did you source it yourself? The Prusa board is £50 and they arn't even shipping to the UK at the moment due to Brexit...
RE: Strange Mark 'growing' in my display
I got mine from prusa but However I can't seem to find any other lCD displays that are not from prusa.
RE: Strange Mark 'growing' in my display
Anyone know if this will work on the Mk3
I seem to remember reading that on the non-Prusa ones, the wheel works back to front....
I am even wondering if buying this and de-soldering/replacing the screen module might be a better idea..
