Steps after 3.2.0 Update for optimal results
Hi,
iam a little bit confused what i need to do after the 3.2.0 update to get the optimal results. I write down what i think, please correct me if iam wrong 😉
1. Firmware Update to 3.2.0
2. NO Factory Reset (not needed?)
3. Calibrate XYZ > skip Z and do it manually with a print because of the bug?
4. Extruder calibration and storing the setting in the firmware https://mattshub.com/2017/04/19/extruder-calibration/
5. Set the flow rate with the extrusion multiplier in Slic3r profile https://solidoodletips.wordpress.com/2012/08/16/setting-the-flow-rate/
6. Linear Advance Calibration >> i don't know how to do that. Which manual is the correct one? 1: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware/wiki/Extruder-linearity-correction-calibration or 2: https://mattshub.com/2017/10/02/linear-advance/
After that steps i should be prepared for "perfect" prints? 😉
Thanks in advance
PS: my firmware is at 3.1.1 or 3.1.2 i guess... iam not sure right now

No one? 😉
i don't think i'am completely right with my steps. That's why i ask here xD
Re: Steps after 3.2.0 Update for optimal results
1. OK
2. OK
3. Calibration of Z is performed at XYZ calibration (and is necessary)
4. Extruder calibration, why? (Prusa has already done it for you)
5. Flow rate calibration, why? (Prusa has already done it for you)
6. Linear Advance Calibration, according to Prusa. (If you consider you need to do this)

5. Flow rate calibration, why? (Prusa has already done it for you)
Even with the kit version?
Thanks for your reply! 🙂

Sebastion
Extruder linearity and linear advance are two different things.
I ran all of the calibrations you listed and obtained some values slightly different than the generic defaults.
Don't forget to measure and use your filament diameter when doing the extrusion multiplier calibration.

Yes, the extruder and flow rate calibration is in the printer's firmware, and it is similar to kits or prebuilt printers. If you use filaments that do not hold the correct dimension, it may be good to make a calibration for this particular filament.
