sorry another first layer issues post

I don't know why this is happening.  Generic PLA.  Ive done 1st layer calibration multiple times and i'm getting decent adhesion. Globs seem to happen always on the same place (when reprinting this).  Seems good when  extruding in continuous line.  Problem seems to be when nozzle is lifting up and retracting? I'm currently using standard bed and nozzle temps for PLA.  what to try next?

Failed 1st layer

RE:

Try to find the difference between first layer and print parameters like hotend and bed temperatures.

Unfortunately your posted picture does not show up.

Not all PLAs are the same make please alive your picture.

Thanks for the reply. I'm unable to load my picture for some reason.  In any case, I solved my issue.  I cleaned the sheet with dish soap and warm water with a soft sponge. Now adheres and prints wonderfully!! I was wiping with isopropanol and that is not as good as cleaning with soap water.

IPA is not even close to soap and lots of water.

By way of explanation:

Although IPA dissolves fats, the amount commonly used does not actually remove the fats from the plate (partially at best). So, when wiping the bed with an IPA soaked pad or cloth, you pick up all the contamination from its origin and spread it nicely all over the sheet. The IPA evaporates and leaves a nice coating of greasy residue all over the sheet.

The soap on the other hand is acting as a detergent, "encapsulating" the fat and the hot water rinses it away.

Same difference as in disinfecting your hands with 70% IPA vs. washing your hands with soap and water. Dead bacteria vs. removed bacteria.

Disclaimer: this is of course an over simplification used for illustrative purposes only 😉

Cheers
