software
Hi Guys just after a bit of help. I have just taken delivery of my Mk3 kit, but I still own 2 Mk2s printers. I notice that the draft settings for the MK3 is only at .2 where as the MK2s can print at .35 This increases the print times by quite a bit. Csn I slice the files for a Mk2s and print them on a Mk3? Or will it fail. an example of one file shows an increase of almost 5 hrs between the two types of printer. I now of course that at .2 its a better finish, but Im printing wargame terrain so draft .35 has always been good enough up to know. Thanks in advance.
Re: software
I believe they'll print OK. [Edit: I just looked at some gcode samples for the Mk2 and don't see anything very different from the Mk3 gcode.] You may not get all of the speeds and benefits as if you'd sliced them tuned for the latest profiles and Mk3 hardware. If you have a large number of files, you can always script Slic3r to run in command line and re-slice hundreds of STLs in minutes.
