You first select the sheet type and slot, (the first one stores the current Z-offset);  then select the second sheet slot, once selected, do a Live Z for that sheet. Etc.

Then, when you change sheets, you select the slot in the menu and all of the cal details including Live Z are restored for that sheet.

Ok, thanks!  Figured that’s how it would work.  My last print still had an issue, but it finished without failing.  

So, the part with the obvious issue was my last print.  Part on the bottom was just prior.  Can’t figure out why one comes out ok, then the other doesn’t.  Both were oriented the same and roughly the same area of the bed.

What printer?

MK3 and Mk3S have the non-temp compensated PINDA - which means you can get run to run variation of Z-offset results because of PINDA temp differences.  I have a Mk3 and solved that by using a cooldown script in my custom gcode. Now I get consistent layer ones because my bed level only runs when the PINDA is at my selected temperature.

If you have a Mk3S+ - you should have the newest PINDA, and it should not have this temp dependency.

The other factor is you should be using the 7x7 mapping, not the 3x3 mapping during bed level; and I go one step farther and use the 5 sample repeat.

MK3S+ is the machine.  It runs the bed level each print.  I’ll search for what you mentioned about the 7x7 and 5 sample repeat check.

All of the FDM Prusa printers from the past 3 years run that leveling script.

Yeah, they do   I had to add that functionality to my older printer.  

I ran the 7x7 with 5 passes and still the same issues   Had to start my print over after live adjusting z to smooth it out

Hard to say looking at the bottom side of a full print, but it looks like the nozzle might have been too high for that top part. A low spot on the sheet. Or more likely, there was something on the sheet preventing adhesion. Many have had some success washing the new textured sheet with soap and water - rinsing well in the hottest water you can get for a few minutes. After drying with paper towels, then pop the sheet onto the printer and bake the bed at 80c for 15 minutes to displace any moisture the texture soaks up. Otherwise it can boil out during printing ... lol.

The other noteworthy point is some of the Prusa textured sheets simply don't work with PLA and folk resign using it for PETG or other plastics; and buy a non Prusa textured sheet.

after YEARS with my mk3 I just learned this lol as I was manually doing the adjustments when I switched sheets ! lol such a noob
