Single z-axis stepper failure

I have an original Prusa MK3S+ which I have upgraded from the MK3 I purchased some time ago. On a recent print, the printer started making a loud noise and the extruder was failing to move upward. After some investigation, I found that the right z-axis stepper motor was slipping. It would try to rotate but would slip as soon as it encountered even minor resistance. I narrowed it down to something on the board as swapping the right/left z-axis connections on the Rambo made the issue appear on the opposite motor. I tried refreshing the solder joints on the connector itself but that didn't help.

I'm guessing this is an issue with either the stepper driver or possibly some other related component. Blown cap maybe? If the stepper isn't getting enough current is that a clue as to where the issue may lie?

I can see from the schematics that both z-axis motors share a driver as I would expect. I'm hoping I can avoid replacing the whole board. I'm fairly comfortable with SMD soldering and have nothing to lose trying to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Steve
