I measured noise and airflow:
So in reviewing the results, I would say it depends.
Investigating further I got the impression that, in most cases the strongest source of noise is the air flow out of the openings towards the nozzle.

Well its a couple of years later... in case anyone is still active do you have some stl/3mf files I can try for myself?
