Short circuited the pinda probe
Hi all,
My trusty mk3s had a heatblock fail where it leaks everywhere so I had to disassemble, problem was that I set the heatblock to high heat to be able to peel of the mess. By mistake it touched the pinda probe cable for a while melting it, short circuiting the wires.
The display on the printer blinked a few times and then the printer died. I checked the 3 fuses and they're all fine but the printer is dead.
Any ideas? PCB fuse perhaps?
RE: Short circuited the pinda probe
Have you checked the fuse in the mains power socket in the power supply?
Or if in the UK. Have you checked the fuse in the mains plug?

RE: Short circuited the pinda probe
I did, I measured power and the main board have power.
maybe only the screen PCB died?
RE: Short circuited the pinda probe
Have you disconnected pinda, thermistor &heater from PCB? And tried again?

RE: Short circuited the pinda probe
Yes I have, it's still dead.
So if you short circuit the pinda like I did, the main board will most likely die.
All 3 fuses are okay.
RE: Short circuited the pinda probe
the heater is 24 volt all the time the printer is turned on, the pinda is 5 volt if 24 volts gets into the 5volt infrastructure, you may well damage the einsy board

RE: Short circuited the pinda probe
The pinda never got 24V. The hot heatblock touched the pinda cable, shorting the pinda cable out with it's own internal wires.
I did order all new stuff for 250€ and it's already been shipped.
