Sending Gcode Directly to Octoprint
I don't know if this is common knowledge and I just missed it but there is a relatively easy way to send Gcode to Octoprint from Slic3r. I looked around for quite a while and couldn't find it. High degree of likelihood that is user ignorance. In case you don't know process is:
Go into Octoprint Settings: API
Enable
Copy API Key
Goto Slic3r
Printer Settings
General
Octoprint upload
Insert IP address
Paste API Address
Save your settings
Boom Send to Printer button shows up
Link to a video someone else made.
Re: Sending Gcode Directly to Octoprint
With that and the plugin called auto select https://github.com/OctoPrint/OctoPrint-Autoselect , it works very well. there is a way to auto export in simplify3d as well, with some additions to the scripts tab>aditional terminal commands for post processing box.
Edit: added link to do that in s3d: https://github.com/foosel/OctoPrint/wiki/Setting-up-Simplify3D-to-automatically-upload-sliced-files-to-Octoprint

RE: Sending Gcode Directly to Octoprint
Thanks for sharing this—this is a great tip and definitely not as widely known as it should be. The built-in OctoPrint upload in Slic3r makes the workflow so much smoother once it’s set up.
Also appreciate the mention of the Auto Select plugin—that’s a game changer for anyone managing multiple printers. And thanks for adding the Simplify3D links as well; having both slicers covered makes this thread really useful for a lot of people.
Good info all around!
