Self Test X Axis error

Haven't used the printer for a few months. Trying to bring it back to life.  When I do a self test I get this:

Selftest error!
Please check:
Axis length
Axis X

I have verified that the zip ties are not in the way, and when not powered can move in the x axis without any resistance.  I just flashed the latest firmware and am still getting this problem.

What are other things I should be looking at?

TIA, all help is appreciated.

RE: Self Test X Axis error

Here's another data point.  If I go directly to Settings > Move Axis > Move X.  The numerical value that shows up is always 0.  Even if the extruder is way over to the right.  If I power down, move extruder to the leftmost.  Then start it still starts at 0, but now I can move it right with the Move X command.
