Second thermistor cable failure... Known causes?

Hello, friends!

Today, I had a print fail with the MINTEMP error, due to an intermittent thermistor cable. If I move the bed around, I can get it to connect some of the time. This is the second time that the thermistor has failed on me like this. That cord obviously has to move around a lot while printing, so it doesn't seem crazy that it would go out from time to time, but is there anything I can do to reduce the frequency of it? The last replacement was only 6 months ago, and I don't run the printer all that hard.

wires

If you have your printer in an enclosure, bed thermistors break if it hits the back of the enclosure.  The heat of the hotend makes the bed thermistor wires fragile.  I do not know how to make them armored against that.

I guess you're talking about the heat bed thermistor. I don't think the failure intervals you're seeing are normal, at least they're very different from my experience. I would try to visually inspect the path the thermistor cable is taking as the heat bed moves around to see areas where it may bend. If you have assembled the printer yourself it's not impossible that it's not routed correctly
