SD card keeps showing No Card Inserted

Hello,

I'm using a FlashAir card and it typically works fine (W-04 32 GB). But increasingly the printer is not detecting the card. I have to remove and reinsert. It will detect it then may show No card inserted again. I have yet to try another card (the one that came with the printer) and will troubleshoot when I can but it seems to me the card slot is loosening up or something to where it's not making good contact.

Any suggestions? Is this common or indicative of a bad slot? I have only had the printer two months. (i3 MK3 assembled by Prusa)

Thanks,

There's a widget on Thingyverse that attached to the LCD card slot (internal to case) that strengthens the flimsy card socket metalwork and helps with reader reliability.

Thank you. I'll give it a try. This Prusa has been a bit more work than my FlashForge Creator Pro. I had to mess with clogged nozzle once on that, this Prusa has been "medium" maintenance. Shows a difference in printing your own printers vs. mass production in metal frames, etc. Is what it is, very happy with my new i3 MK3 (first prusa).

I am a first time owner myself, and I am a bit taken back by the level of "tinkering" the Prusa needs. But then friends recommended it and all said it printed as well as some rather expensive printers. Overall, and despite the parts that seem to be untested COTS quality, I'm pretty happy with the kit. But after a couple thousand hours of printing, I have no illusions everything is "commercial" quality and have adopted the mindset that keeping it running well is part of the fun.

Mine started doing the same. I've found that either pressing the card in or pulling it out about 1mm will get it to register.
