run out sensor

run out sensor

When the runout sensor is enabled it randomly, does a change filiament . 

The machine has a new spool. what may cause this ? everything seems in order.

Which printer so you have. 

MK3 uses a different sensor to mk3s. Mk3s+ has a slightly different set up too

Clearly a malfunctioning or not properly installed filament sensor. Plenty of articles on the Prusa knowledge base that should tell you what you need to do. Just google for "site:prusa3d.com mk3s filament sensor"

Formerly known on this forum as @fuchsr -- until all hell broke loose with the forum software...

Fixed it. had to replace 2 parts from wear. the top filiament guide and the guide that holds the metal ball.
