Repeated retraction causing heat creep
I'm trying to print a lot of very small parts at once, and my hotend keeps getting clogged at the heatbreak towards the end of the print when there are a bunch of tiny towers at the top of the parts that aren't connected to each other. I can tell that I'm doing so many retractions so quickly that I'm getting heat creep, but I don't know how to solve it. Is there a setting in PrusaSlicer that will slow down print speeds when it sees a lot of retractions all in a row? I know there's one for layer time, but the layers are actually taking a while to do because of all of the different parts. I don't have any problem with retractions when I'm printing normal things. And I don't want the stringing that I know will happen if I turn retraction off entirely. Is there some trick to avoid this?
I'm using PrusaSlicer, PLA, and a .25mm nozzle (but I still had the problem while using a .40mm, so I don't think that's relevant)
RE: Repeated retraction causing heat creep
Are you printing in an enclosure or ambient temps over 40C?
RE: Repeated retraction causing heat creep
Nope, It's in an air conditioned office. About 23-25C and consistent temperatures.
RE: Repeated retraction causing heat creep
Try less retraction?
