Question Regarding Hatchbox PLA Suggested Extruder Temp On Prusa Mk3
As I am typing this I am at 85% on the standard preloaded Prusa Benchy trying out Hatchbox for the very first time. (White PLA ) I'm running the print using the default Prusa setting for the file and so far the print looks great. Question: Hatchbox states extruder temp at 210° C on the box while the Mk3 is at 215° C and, as I said, the print seems fine. Does this 5° difference matter in the long run?

Generally, Prusa defaults use 215c only for layer-1, and 210c for everything else. But I just did a small bridge test print that varied extruder temps from 185c to 225c over 10 bridges and can't see any differences in the small part. For the record, filament variation and sensitivity to temps is a wildcard. Even subtle color differences from the same vendor will elicit print differences. YMMV.

You will also get differences in how the PLA looks depending on the temperature. I used to print with Hatchbox at 195C/190C (nozzle) and 55C/50C (bed) for first layer/subsequent layers, but bumped it up to 210C/205C (nozzle) and 45C/40C (bed) for better compatibility with 3D Solutech which isn't quite as nice as Hatchbox but 25% cheaper when you start using their masterspools.
The increase in temperature at the nozzle made my prints more shiny, and possibly better stickiness between layers, although I haven't tested this.

I always print a temp tower and check the properties: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2729076 . Suggested temperatures are fine but it's better to see a result for your current spool and your printer.
I print Hatchbox most of the time 200C/60C. If I need better structural integrity, I bump up to 215/220C.
