PTFE Blockage...heat creep?
Had a blockage yesterday for the first time, no way to pull it out or push it through so I disassembled the extruder and after having ascertained the block was in the PTFE I removed that, replaced it with one from spares, put it all back together and am printing flawlessly again.
I did a little post-mortem on the tube (split it down the side to get the filament piece out) and am curious what y'all experts think caused this particular issue. At first, I thought maybe a bulge in the filament, but the way the filament looks (a perfect shiny little expanded bullet) I'm now thinking I may have gotten some heat creep up into the tube?
Appreciate any input. Been printing for a month or so and loving it, fully expecting things like this to come along so not freaking out about it, just wondering if there's something I need to maintenance to eliminate the issue or if this kind of thing is just par for the course from time to time.
