Prusa xyz calibration failing, custom size
Hello,
Might be a long shot to ask but cant hurt. Sorry if this is the wrong section.
I built a custom sized prusa with prusa hardware. So the board and all the important stuff is original. I flashed a custom firmware where I edited the max_pos travel limits after homing in the configuration_prusa.h file. Flashed it and when moving the axis through the lcd it seems to be about the right size. However when I do an XYZ Calibration, after testing the X axis ir says failed and to check the pulley. Any one got any ideas? Is there another value I need to modify in the firmware? Im not familiar with this stuff and looking through the files I didnt really see anything that would be relevant. Any help is welcome. Thanks folks.

Which values (variables) exactly did you change in which firmware version?
Maybe it is sufficient to perform a factory reset.

If the bed size is different, where / what did you source that has the embedded calibration points in the heat bed? If whatever you purchased doesn't have those cal points embedded, the Prusa X and Y calibration will fail, regardless.

@karl-herbert
I changed the travel limits after homing in the configuration_prusa.h file since it's quite a bit bigger than the original

As far as I know the pinda probe work with magnetic field or something like that no? The 4 circles on the original bed don't have magnets in them, only around them a few cm away. So technically that can be replicated. Unless there's something else embedded into the bed at those locations, but not as far as I can tell. If you happen to know what exactly those points hold I'd love to know

Bump?
