PrucaSlicer Presets when switching a MF file from Mini+ to MK3+

Aloha people,

I am a blank newbie to 3d printing and after a number of test prints from the sample files I also successfully printed another few gcodes and mf files from printables.

Now I wanted to realize a project which exists on printables as MF files and the Gcodes are for Mini/Mini+. I went with the MF files into the PRusaSlicer but when i want to switch from the pre-selected Mini/Mini+ to my MK3S+ i get a pop up that the preset from the MF is not compatible with the new printer file and i get various option what I want to do (see screenshot).

I understand from reading the basic difference between printer and print settings but i am unsure and dont want destroy somehow the default correct print settings.

Would you recommend to choose "transfer", "Save" or "discard" those differences in the setting. I am sure the creator of the MF files chose those variables with more expertise than i will have in any foreseeable future but I am also unsure what a switch from Mini/Mini+ should maybe also be implemented in different print settings. Or if i somehow mess up with the MK3S+ settings in Slicer when i click the wrong one 🙂

If there is any source or documentation you can refer me to further understand. I can imagine the Academy "3D printing and modelling for beginner" from Prusa could have some answers. But so far with the kit I only got access to the "Design principles for 3D printed parts" as the basic one seems to be only included for the assembled version. Should I purchase this and my question would be answered there?

You can just discard the setting differences.

In your case, you maybe want to transfer the sequential printing settings. But I don't think it is necessary and you can set up sequential printing in the other printer profile afterwards if you decide you want it.

There is the online documentation for PrusaSlicer that might help you.

PS: In PrusaSlicer you can import or open a 3mf file. If you import a 3mf file, it just loads the parts. If you open a 3mf file, it will load project settings too if included.
