Problems with the first layer

I have had my printer for half a year now, and it has worked fine for the most part, only thing now it, on the left side of the build plate, I consistently get what looks like under extrusion, and if not, the nozzle is too far off. I have calibrated everything, mesh, z height, everything, so the z should be level.

The weird part is, when I print a first layer calibration, then the maximum difference in thickness is 0.03mm, and then when I print something, it looks like a lot more.. Left side of build plate

This first picture depicts the left side, and you can see the spaces between lines in it... This has not happened before, and now it's in every print I do. I'm hoping that someone here has an idea of what it could be

Ps, every layer after this looks fine, so it would seem weird to be extrusion problems

RE: Problems with the first layer

I have a similar Problem. First Layer left side is curly. A smaler oject in the middle of the printer is fine. I update the firmware to 3.7.0. I have not found this problem before. I have the impression, that with the new firmware the 9 point auto bed leveling is not working properly.

I now loaded the previous firmware 3.5.1. and it looks perfect. Emil, try this again and report the results.

Have you installed 3.7.0 firmware and tried using the 7x7 mesh bed leveling?

RE: Problems with the first layer

I installed 3.7.0. and made a Z-live adjust with 9 point. These are 9 square 1 layer parts. This gave me a completly other value than before with firmware 3.5.1.

I admit that the mentioned result is not perfect but way better than before.

Yes, I am using the 7x7 calibration. I installed the update after a short pause from printing, so I updated from 2.4.x or 2.5.x. Pretty big leap. I tried turning it on to see if it helped.

Is that a built-in feature, or did you just make a file for it? Really easy to make, so no problem, would just be convenient if it was built-in

@Emil: The 7x7 mesh leveling is an option in 3.7.0 firmware. It is a better method for the printer to detect bed flatness and perform correction.  It does not "produce" test squares; rather, it simply moves the extruder to 49 physical points rather than 9 physical points. The result is an accurate and detailed map of bed flatness, and a much better layer 1.

I was aware that it did not produce squares, it was a question for Andreas and his suggestion.

But even though it should give a more detailed map, there is a clear difference between the two sides of my printsurface. Is there anything else I should do after activating that?

RE: Problems with the first layer

Just to chime in. I'm having this issue too. My bed on the 4 corners compared to the center is off by only 0.02mm variance ( has some lumps in the center), and I can not get a wide first layer to save my life. Using 3.7.0 with 7x7 (5x). Only other thought is that my bed is signifcantly warped to the point where the mesh can't compensate.
