Problem with heated bed

Hello, after a long time without using it, I've started up my MK3S printer again. The issue is that I noticed some areas of the first layer of the printed part appeared slightly burnt. So, I decided to run a test by printing just a single layer covering the entire bed. As you can see in the picture, it looks like there might be a section of the bed that's hotter than the rest.

Could someone help me out and let me know if this is something that can be easily fixed, or if replacing the heated bed is the only solution?

Thanks!

RE: Problem with heated bed

it is unusual for  a section of the bed to be  hotter than the rest
looking at your first layer image, I think I can see a little waviness in the surface to the lower left area and a blob on waviness to the  upper right area. this suggests that the nozzle is too close to the build plate in these areas
Could you please remove the build plate and ensure that there is nothing trapped between the heat bed and the build plate, especially in the top right corner!

is your printer  doing 9 point mesh bed levelling? (3X3 mesh)
If so, could you please set it to do 7x7 mesh bed levelling
https://help.prusa3d.com/article/mesh-bed-leveling_112163
then please re do the live Z adjustment, I expect the ideal live z value should be a little smaller negative number than you are currently using.

then when all is well,
try the large surface print again.

regards Joan

Hi JoanTabb, thanks for your reply.

Indeed, it was a first-layer issue, and changing the bed leveling to 7x7 mesh solved the problem.

Best regards!
