Problem printing benchy with new powder coated print bed

I upgraded to a powder coated print bed and am having trouble getting benchy to adhere to the print bed. I've rerun first layer calibration following these instructions from the video below but the print still fails, usually around 3/4 into the print. Has anyone else had problems printing benchy on the powder coated bed? I'm wondering if I should need to use a brim, or if I have something configured incorrectly.

@joantab

Sorry for the poor quality, the purple bency's texture is similar to the printed parts on my mk3s, after it failed I printed the orange one with a lower X value, but I think it looks a little squished.

Hi Robert.
those bottoms look as if you have plenty of squish   so Live Z is somewhere near correct. This print is PLA on a textured build plate, there is negligible contact area

I know that there are warnings in various posts about my suggested way forward...
But what I do, is take the print sheet to the sink, squirt a little washing up liquid (Detergent/Dish Soap) on the surface, then using a clean kitchen sponge and Hot water, I work up a good lather on the build surface, scrubbing it with the Sponge, then I wash it off with plenty of fresh hot water,
Then I dry it immediately with clean paper towels and do not touch the surface with your fingers after cleaning, and try printing again

try the bed at 70C  if you are using pre prepared gcode, you can change it at the start of the print using the settings menu on the LCD

(you can turn the speed down to say 30% first to give you more time, if that helps once the bed temperature is reset, you csn turn the speed up again)

regards Joan

@joantabb

I found another post recommending dish soap and gave it a try last night, and it seemed to solve my issues. Thanks so much for the help!
