Prints suffer from extreme lack of layer adhesion

I have a MK3 and have recently begun having an issue with a near total lack of layer adhesion. This issue is not material or model dependent (tried multiple models and multiple rolls of both PLA and PETG). I am using the most recent version of PrusaSlicer and latest firmware. I have disassembled the hotend and everything looks good. I replaced the nozzle, heatblock, heater cartridge, and thermistor and it made no difference.

I am out of ideas after checking and/or replacing everything involved in heating the filament and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions

I assume that you are using dry filament? It could be moisture. So, unless you've done that already use a new spool from a sealed pack or run a spool through a food dehydrator.

Unfortunately if that fails I'm out of ideas as well.

Lack of layer adhesion as in severe under extrusion? As you've looked at the hotend, anything blocking the filament path? From idler screw tension to something physically obstructing the filament spool.

Please post a picture of a typical failed print.

As mentioned above, pictures will help.

This is one of four items usually:

  1. Dirty bed
  2. Z offset is not optimized
  3. Under extrusion
  4. Hydrated filament

  1. I should have said this in the OP, but I have tried both Prusament and Matterhackers filament straight out of the box in addition to other rolls that I have around.
  2. There is no under extrusion. The prints look perfect but fall apart when any sort of force is applied
  3. I clean the bed with 90% isopropyl before every print (not sure how this would effect interlayer bonding though)
  4. Z offset is good, first later looks perfect or close to it when pulled off the build plate
  5. I will try to get a picture of a failed print later tonight or in the morning

I have been involved in 3D printing for the past 6 year, owned two printers (Prusa and Duplicator i3+), used a printer for the past 4 year as a part of my job (Raise3d Pro 2+) and prior to that was involved in maintaining and building several printers in my college's 3D printing club (4 Ultimakers, 3 Makerbots, and 3 Prusas) and I have never seen an issue like this

Can you get a measurement of the temperature at the nozzle?  Are you printing in a draft?
