Printing fine detail - 0.4mm walls
At times I have the need to print very thin vertical walls - walls that are 1 nozzle-width thick.
I'm using the standard 0.4mm MK3 nozzle, so I figure that I should be able to print walls 0.4mm thin. When I slice the design using Slic3rPE on the standard settings, the wall doesn't get generated. I can see it isn't there in "layer" view. Same thing happens if I increase to 0.5mm walls. I have to go up to 0.6mm before G-Code for the wall will be generated, and then it appears that 2 extrusions (side by side) are generated.
Is there some setting I'm missing?
Thanks.
RE: Printing fine detail - 0.4mm walls
Enable Print Settings → Layers and Perimeters → Quality → Detect thin walls. If that's not enough, play with Print Settings → Advanced → Extrusion width → External perimeters (and others). The 0.4mm nozzle is capable (with limitations in quality) of extruding thinner than 0.4mm if needed.

Thank you. I believe I tried "detect thin walls" with no luck. But I didn't get into "extrusion width". Will try it. Thanks.
