Printer stopped working after thermal runaway

Hi, I've been using my MK3S+ for a while now, and it's been a great printer. Today, while printing in Prusament PETG, the printer stopped due to a bed thermal runaway error. I removed the partial objects and started a new print; however, now, the printer beeps once and stops preheating as soon as the hotend reaches temp (bed temp doesn't change much in that time). There's no error message, either--just a single beep and the target temps go back to 0/0.

What steps should I take to diagnose and fix this?

thermal runaway occurs when the printer controller does not see an appropriate change in temperature for a given input of energy

so in your case, when you start a print, I understand that the extruder temperature climbs towards the desired temperature but the heatbed does not heat.

I suspect the most likely causes for this are:
Heatbed power screws loose, at the power supply, or at the einsy connector strip, or at the heatbed connections. or,
the washers and / or the cable connectors in the wrong position on the heatbed connections, or,
one of the heatbed wires broken., or,
the heatbed fuse blown

If the Heatbed does actually heat, but the display does not show it heating significantly, then the heatbed thermistor may have become detached from the underside of the heatbed.

common

This runaway error is not common with prusa printers.
