Printer changes filament despite the fact there is only one

Hi all,

I have the following problem:

I try to print this:
https://cad.onshape.com/documents/0c7931fe88fd8f2cb0440dfd/w/c4c8385c87bde840818ca70f/e/7a447145a9ff1eed3b25c291
Material: Filamentum FlexFill 98A
I exported it to stl from OnShape then import it in PrusaControl 0.9.4 415Beta (Tried also with Slicer Prusa edition 1.39.1 and it happens the same).
I slice it with PrusaControl using the FlexShore A85-A98 material, whilst on Slicer Prusa edition I use find "SemiFlex or FlexFill 98A.
Then save gcode on a SD card, insert it in printer, then print it.
Printer: Prusa MK3 (3.2.1-576) (ok, I'll upgrade the firmware right away)

The problem is that during the print it stops several times and does the "change filament" procedure (!) which is obviously wrong because I haven't specified any colors or different filaments in my design. Actually, it asks for filament change right from the beginning, immediately after doing the stripe for cleaning the extruder.

What in the world gets wrong in my chain of operations so that MK3 thinks this part needs multiple filaments??

Any suggestion appreciated.

Thanks,
Lian

Some filaments are hard for the filament sensor to see, and trigger spurious "out of filament" errors. It sounds like that's what's happening here.

The solution is to turn off the filament sensor.

Peter, you're the man!

The flex filament is transparent indeed. I turned off the sensor (LCD Menu - Settings - Fil. sensor [on/off]) and it is printing a-OK now!

Thanks a lot,

Lian
